Framing

I was able to get some pretty cool shots this week!  I went hiking on Tuesday which provided a bunch of opportunities, and I found a few at work and at a local baseball game this evening.  

My sister as she balances across a rock, I thought the foliage framed her pretty nicely.


There are some really cool caves along the trail, I made my sister go into them so I could get some pictures of her, she wasn't overly impressed (ignore my dog's head).  



These are from a fire tower at the top of the mountain.



This is another view from the top of the mountain.


This is from work yesterday, I thought the miscellaneous stuff in the foreground somewhat framed my coworker as she made a creemee. 


This was taken through a fence on the back porch of my work.


Finally, tonight I went to a baseball game and I was trying to get shots through the chain fence and protective netting.  



I had a lot of fun with framing this week!  It can really make photographs look really cool!

    I really like the photo of the pitcher. I think that it was a great use of the framing technique. I think it would've look a little better if the fencing was actually darker so that the frame popped more but I still think it is a great example of the technique.

    Nice to see so much work! It appears you had a great time experimenting with all different kinds of framing. Great job on these. They are all good, though the second firetower shot caught my eye because of the settings you chose to capture all of the different greens as far as you can see..

    Nice depth on the fire tower shot. The framing of the netting was unexpected and interesting, because of the unusual shape.

    I like the framing you did from the tower of the mountain, everything stood out really well! Where is that located? It looks like a nice place to hike.

      Spruce Mountain in Plainfield, it's really fun, not to hard about 4 miles up and down.

    great framing pictures! You really went out of the normal "framing" and had some interesting shots. I think my favorite is the baseball player through the fence, as it is not your typical square/rectangle frame but a diamond shape! Great job!
