I also darkened the ground, mountains, and undersides of clouds to give more definition.
Now here are my filtered images. This was a lot of fun, I've always enjoyed playing with filters on a variety of programs and this was no different!
With this one, I used the photocopy filter on Photoshop. I love how it gives it a cartoon like appearance, but still managing to look incredibly realistic. Plus, with this filter the image didn't lose it's sense of depth.
This filter is the glowing edge filter. I liked how this filter illuminates the sign, and each word within the sign; this looks like it belongs in a nightclub.

I love the stop sign photo, it looks so cool and is very different. I also like how the filter really enhanced the photo and gave it a different feeling.
ReplyDeleteI love the railroad image! I too like how it looks as if it was a cartoon. Black and white is great anyhow.. also kind of makes me think of a 35mm film negative :) Nice job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work on the Dodge and burn image! You really have a great sense of how this tool can work to bring out the best in a photograph.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job darkening the sky in your first photo, I had to keep looking between the two as it looks as though it could be an untouched photo.
ReplyDeleteAlso your picture of the railroads is very cool, it looks like one of those black etch pictures.
Great job on the dodge and burn image. I love the filtering on the railroad. I like the black and white image. The stop sign is great also.
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo and the editing you did you the sky. The clouds add great detail and depth good job!
